Do I need to have run Google Ads before to work with you?

No, you don’t—however, please refer to what to expect in the first 90-days question below. Google Ads isn’t an instant results game. It takes time, data, and strategic adjustments to start generating consistent, high-value leads—which is why having realistic expectations is key.

Many firms new to Google Ads expect overnight leads, but the reality is that the first 90 days are a learning phase where Google’s AI gathers data and optimizes performance. If you're new to the platform, we’ll guide you through the process, but understanding this timeline is crucial to long-term success.

If you’ve never run Google Ads before but are serious about investing in a strategy that takes time to optimize, reach out—we’d be happy to discuss if it’s the right fit for your firm.

What should I expect in the first 90 days of running Google Ads?

The first 90 days are what we call the “learning phase.” This is when Google’s AI gathers data, understands your ideal audience, and refines your campaign performance. Here’s a general timeline of what to expect:

Month 1-2: You may see little to no results while Google collects data and learns how to target the right people.

Month 3: This is when we typically start seeing momentum, especially for lower ad budgets. The more data we feed Google, the faster we see results. For larger budgets (e.g., personal injury firms spending $20K+/month), we can accelerate this process because we generate more data faster.

For smaller budgets, it takes longer because Google needs more time to collect enough information to optimize effectively. We set realistic expectations upfront so you understand that Google Ads is a long-term strategy—not a quick-fix lead source. We do not sugar coat it - Google Ads is expensive! But unlike FaceBook (Meta) Ads, TikTok Ads, or other marketing mediums such as Billboard, TV, etc. Google Ads is a direct search intent where the other mediums are "pattern interrupts". Meaning no one scrolling Facebook or TikTok are looking for a Personal Injury lawyer for a car accident, they are on those platforms for entertainment.

So you will find those leads to be far cheaper than Google Ads with a MUCH (MUCH) lower rate of conversion!

What budget do I need to start my Google Ads?

Your budget depends on the type of law you practice and how competitive your market is.General Law (e.g., Family Law, Criminal Defense, Estate Planning, Business Law, etc.):

Minimum $3,500/month ad spend with a 90-day minimum commitment

*** Personal Injury: Minimum $20,000/month due to the extreme competition in this niche ***

Other law practices (e.g., Real Estate Law, Immigration, Employment Law): Budget varies based on location and competition

Why does budget matter?

Google Ads is a bidding system. If your budget isn’t high enough to compete in your market, your ads simply won’t show—or they’ll be buried under better-funded competitors. Why 90-days? We will not have the data feedback loop we need until the campaigns have had ample time to run. Setting up the Google Ads account properly is a heavy lift for us and we ONLY work with clients who come in with the expectations of a minimum of 90-days.

After the 90-day mark you are on a month to month basis with a 45-day notice for cancellations. Unlike many other Ads agencies:

  • We are not going to lock you into some crazy contracts you cannot get out of.

  • . We provide an exclusivity radius (meaning we will not run ads for your competitors).

  • YOU own all the leads your account produces, unlike the "pay for signed cases approach" which FYI we know first hand from one of our team members working with that type of agency the 100% give the best leads to the biggest spenders and all the "little guys" get the left-overs.

  • If you choose to cancel services with us the Ads account and assets belong to you (note: assets such as the landing pages and phone numbers are hosted on our CRM so to continue hosting them there is a small monthly fee or you can choose to go elsewhere and create your own)

💡 Important Note: The ad budget does NOT include our management fee, which depends on the complexity of your practice area, your market, and the level of service needed. If you’re unsure what budget you’ll need, book a call, and we’ll analyze your market for you.

Why should I hire a legal-focused Google Ads agency instead of a general marketing agency?

Think about it this way: If you had a brain injury, would you go to a general doctor or a neurosurgeon?Legal marketing is one of the most competitive and expensive industries in Google Ads. It doesn’t work like e-commerce, plumbing, or HVAC marketing.

A general marketing agency might know Google Ads, but they won’t understand:

✅ High-value case targeting vs. low-quality lead generation

✅ The nuances of legal-specific ad compliance (to avoid getting your account suspended)

✅ Proper intake strategies to maximize conversions

✅ Bidding strategies that work for law firms and not just local services

We only focus on Google Ads for law firms—meaning we know exactly how to structure, optimize, and scale campaigns that attract high-value cases, not just clicks. If you’re serious about getting real results and not burning through ad spend, hiring a Google Ads legal expert is the only way to go.
